Festival del Cajón – 2026
El “Festival Internacional de Cajón y Percusión 2026” que tendrá como protagonista al “Cajón”, instrumento musical peruano y símbolo de identidad cultural, se realizará desde el 31 de julio hasta la fecha del “Día del Cajón”: el 2 de agosto.
El evento será acogido por la sede central del “Ministerio de Cultura” en Lima – Perú, con una amplia programación artística y académica, que incluirá conciertos, clases maestras, conversatorios, presentación de libro, feria de emprendimientos culturales, y la tradicional “Gran Cajoneada”, impactante actuación donde músicos y aficionados tocan el “Cajón” conjuntamente. Además el público disfrutará de diversas actividades formativas, dirigidas por destacados artistas de Perú, Brasil, Paraguay y Chile, llevando a este importante festival alrededor del “Cajón” a ser un espacio de intercambio cultural internacional.
Otro importante momento que tendrá como protagonista principal al “Cajón”, se dará el 6 de agosto (3 p.m.) en el Auditorio César Vallejo de la “Feria Internacional del Libro de Lima”, con la presentación del libro “Nueva historia del cajón peruano – Instrumento musical que recorre el mundo” de Luis Rocca Torres. Quienes asistan conocerán mucho mejor a “Su Majestad, el Cajón“.

Festival of the Cajón – 2026
The “International Festival of Cajón and Percussion 2026,” which will feature the “Cajón,” a Peruvian musical instrument and symbol of cultural identity, will take place from July 31 to the “Cajón Day” on August 2.

Another important event featuring the “Cajón” as the main protagonist will take place on August 6th (3 p.m.) at the César Vallejo Auditorium during the “Lima International Book Fair,” with the presentation of the book “New History of the Peruvian Cajón – A Musical Instrument that Travels the World” by Luis Rocca Torres.
